New challenge new journey

The start of something new is always a challenge and taking myself into retirement and starting an independent coaching practice, definitely ticks that box.
Recognising that this is my personal journey, and I can’t use someone else as my template, is quite hard. But then this is always the case.
Everyone is unique and we create a specific set of experiences, based on choices, circumstances and events in our lives. So why do we so often look to others, compare ourselves or create a benchmark that is so often fictitious? I suppose it’s because we want some form of insight into the future, the trouble is, it’s no better than a poorly informed guess.
Create your own outcome
If you understand that you have the opportunity to create a different outcome to others, that what they have experienced will be different from what you experience, then you may spend more time focusing on yourself.
But I am trying to take some of my own medicine. This is the next phase of my life, I can’t rely on other people’s experiences. I need to shape what I can control and be open to what I can’t predict. So here I go!
